Recipe of the Month
Ghost Lollipops By Author Colleen Green
- cookie sheet
- wax paper
- lollipop sticks (find at craft store)
- white chocolate chips
- chocolate chips
- chocolate & orange chips
- tall glasses
- two pots, one larger than the other
- soup spoon
Put two cookie sheets on the counter close to the stove. Line sheets with wax paper. Put lollipop sticks on each cookie sheet spaced apart about two inches across from each other. Leave about four inches from the bottom of the sticks to the top of the next row of sticks. Fill the smaller pot with water about half full. Put the larger pot on top of it. Fill top pot with white chocolate chips. Boil the water gently and the steam will rise up and cause the chips to melt. Continuously stir until all chips are melted. Turn heat down on the boiling water. Take the spoon and fill it with melted chocolate. Using your spoon smear melted candy onto lollipop stick. Working quickly, create ghost shape with the back of the spoon making sure to get plenty of melted candy onto the stick. Make two ghosts then add the eyes, chocolate chips, to each ghost. Stir the melted chocolate again to avoid burning it. Then repeat until done.
